Client Case Study

Our Customer instructed Emcon to travel to the south of France to dismantle and transport a Bobst Autoplaten and deliver and install in Staffordshire. As normal we conducted a site survey and found that the installation was below ground level and access was extremely tight and no way of getting a machine inside the building capable of lifting the 11ton machine.

We decided that the most economical and practical way was to construct a ramp and skate the machine slowly down holding it back with our crane lorry and a suitable winch.

The customer was extremely pleased that we didn’t need to split the machine into smaller and more manageable sizes which would have resulted in significant delays to their production schedules. The customer wasn’t worried that we may damage the machine due to very tight access as this was not the first job we have done for this client.
